Before installing the new converter you must have the dealer reprogram ECM to improve A/F sensor and emission performance

Program WVU-31 is the recall number your dealer is required to do this.

ECM software update to improve emissions when the car is operated in cold weather and the engine turned off and restarted within short periods of time. The A/F (air flow, O2) sensor contains a heating element which is controlled by the ECM, which assists the sensor in reaching optimum temperature.
There could be a longer than desired delay turning on the A/F heating element resulting in higher emissions.
Owners will be notified by mail through August as the update is available. Program WVU-31

If you do not comply to the above procedure the warranty on this converter will be null and void
