Is it BLUE? Converters that are blue from overheating or painted, cut, or modified in any way are not covered under any warranty.

Please note: If your new or old converter is rattling inside, this is caused by the ceramic brick inside being overheated and cracking. This will happen again to your new converter within 5 minutes if you have an emission failure in the engine. This is not covered under warranty.
