We have started gearing up for spring weather. There is nothing like coming out to your car in the morning and coming away with a hand covered in pollen from the door handle. Now is a good time to get ready before the spring allergens reach their peak.
You can minimize your exposure by keeping the car windows closed while driving. Using your air conditioning system will help keep the inside of your car cool and dry. Make sure your cabin air filter is clean as it will trap and filter out any pollen coming through the vents. Also if you notice that the weather stripping is coming loose you’ll want to secure it to make sure it creates a good seal. This will prevent allergens from getting in.
Keeping the inside of your car clean will help as well. Regularly vacuuming the floor mats and seats will remove any pollen tracked in from the outside. Wiping down the vents and other surfaces are a good idea. If you keep any blankets or clothing in the car you may want to wash them regularly. If your allergies are really sensitive, you may want to remove them from the car until the spring allergen season has passed.
This spring we hope you are able to get out and enjoy the weather without any allergy issues. Enjoy your vehicles and stay safe and well!
